when bottle conditioning a lager, should initial CO2 build up take place at higher temp (70-75) for about 2 weeks before you bring the temp back down? or once it's bottled, should it be put back into the cooler immediately to condition at about 50-55 degrees?
FYI: i'm making a schwarzbier, OG 1048, FG 1018, brewed mostly at 50 degrees.

Re: Bottle Conditioning Lager
You would want to do the conditioning at higher temps. I'd say a couple of weeks at ale temp/room temp would be fine and once they are carbonated then chill all the beer back down for a lagering period before drinking them.
