Post by donniestyle »

BJCP Class Members,

The 4th BJCP Class will be held on Sunday September 13, at the home of Don Trotter. The address is 15549 Buffalo Creek Dr, Frisco, TX 75035. Here's a map http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 21887&z=16

Edit: Time is same as always, 12:30 Central Time.

Sorry to miss so many of you at the 3rd class. We started out with question 1 from the BJCP exam http://www.bjcp.org/study.php#quest. This is the easiest question on the exam, and you all should be able to get this one 100% correct. We used Ken Woodson's presentation on water chemistry http://www.nthba.org/www/docs/Water_Tre ... pp2003.ppt, followed by presentations on BJCP categories 3 http://www.bjcp.org/2008styles/style03.php and 9 http://www.bjcp.org/2008styles/style09.php. Then we enjoyed commercial and home brewed examples of those categories. Thanks again Tim Champagne for hosting the 3rd session.

Our 4th session will cover the following topics. Use the links to get to the study material. I'll be putting an additional presentation together on wort production.
