I totally missed the entry for the first 2009 COC. What a bummer! I had two entries: Saison, and Belgian Pale Ale. I hope the competition is stiff this year. Notice that some of the COC this year can generate many entries, as they are not a single category. What is the maximum number of entries that one may enter into a COC? Say, for instance, a brewer has 5 beers that he/she would like to enter into the "Extract" COC, and they are all different categories. Will they be able to enter them all? What are the official AHA rules?

Only AHA rule I know that applies is one entry per club. Looks like it is up to the club to determine how many entries to allow.

AHA Registered Homebrew Clubs are eligible to compete. Only one entry may be entered from each club. Procedures for selecting a club’s entry are determined by the club, and vary widely–some clubs choose an entry during an informal tasting, while larger clubs often run a formal competition. This entry is then sent to the appropriate judging site.

Donnie, Leroy is correct AHA does not provide "official rules" for the COCs. It is up to the individual clubs, to set up their own rules.

We discussed this at the Officer's Meeting last night and came to the decision that the NTHBA COCs will abide by the following regarding number of entries an individual may enter in the COC.

Each club member may enter (1) entry per Sub-Category, with a maximum of 3 entries total per COC.

Does this answer your questions?
