Blue Bonnet Brewing

Post by sirjohn »

Hello,

I wanted to start up a topic on Blue Bonnet early so we can see who is doing what this year. If you plan on brewing for the Blue Bonnet please post below with what you plan on brewing. If you are in need of help with your first competition brew then let one of the officers know or show up at the next meeting. Lets start planning early....

I plan to enter and have already brewed and bottled the following beers:

Saison
Munich Helles
Munich Dunkel
Double Bock (may enter as just plain Bock, haven't made up mind yet)
Belgian Pale Ale
Norther English Brown Ale
Robust Porter

I may try to get a Weizen in just before the deadline if I am feeling energized and I may also add some coffee to some of the Porter to get an additional entry (we will see what happens). Anyway I am sure I will get my ass kicked yet again but what the heck, it will be fun trying anyway.[:)]

It may be helpful to bring a sample of your Blue Bonnet entry to one of the club only competitions and have a pre-judging... Might be worth it to check and see what others think about it before hand...

Hello,

Quick question -Do we know when and where the Blue Bonnet will be held at? I have some folks scheduling now for the event but I don't have a date or location. If anyone knows that would be great. Thanks,

John

All of the dates are on the home page for NTHBA. The hotel is the Westin on Hwy 114(John Carpenter Fwy) and Esters in Irving. Also, keep up with the http://www.bluebonnetbrewoff.com/ web site.
