built my stir plate and it runs well, doesn't throw the stir bar... but it runs too fast, at the lowest pot setting , it still cavitates..
without having to source a new wallwart in 5-6v... what else can I do to lower the voltage? second pot? add a resistor?
most threads I see talk about adding a voltage regulator which in turn may need a heat sink , I really don't want to go to all that trouble..
