A great brewer has passed

Post by JamesD »

Past Bluebonnet Brewoff speaker and Belgian beer ambassador to the world, Pierre Celis, passed away yesterday. To all who enjoyed Celis White or Witbiers in general raise a glass in his memory. I was fortunate to sit down and talk to him for about an hour one day and just listen to a few of the stories of his youth and his life as a brewer...as well as drink a beer with him. He was a very diverse man who the beer community owes a lot and will greatly miss.

The man is a legend for reviving a forgotten style. He will not be forgotten.

Rest in peace Pierre.
