I just brewed an amber using the New Belgium yeast and the Fat Tire clone recipe out of BYO 150 Clones magazine. I am thinking about brewing again this next weekend and would like to try and use the yeast cake of the amber beer. What are some styles I can focus on for the next batch with this particular yeast? I don't really wish to brew another amber and was thinking an Irish Red or brown ale might work. What are your thoughts on this?
Or, is this a bad idea and I should just toss the yeast and start a new starter?
"The Fat Tire Ale yeast strain being offered by Wyeast at the moment is our Fat Tire Ale yeast. We use it for beers such as Fat Tire, Sunshine Wheat, and Two Below.?
