Nacogdoches Homebrew event

Post by john.hereford »

Nacogdoches (about 175 Miles SE of us) has a small and growing brewclub, and have for 2 years now hosted a spring brewfest, a homebrew sharing event.

They set a date for Nac Brewfest 2014. It’s going to be on 3 May at the Nacogdoches Expo Center (same place they had it last year).

>Last year, we had 68 different brews and 420 people in attendance and we expect a bigger crowd this time but we are going to limit it to 600 total. To attend, you have to sign up as a member of the Nac Brew Club by buying 6 mo membership (available for $25) or two comp memberships are given to brewers from out of town (bringing brew for the festival).

Last year, they had brewers representing brew clubs from Nac, Longview, Tyler, Shreveport, but only one person from Dallas.

If anyone's interested, it's pretty casual and fun. Less formal on the judging, as it's more popular choice than judging by BJCP format. More like the Labor of love event @DEBC.
