Deschutes Brewery Recipes

Post by caryhson1 »

Deschutes Brewery reps came by to show off their Woody and talk to us home brewers about beer. They handed out whole hops and recipe cards for their most popular beers. If you were not able to make it, check out there site for the recipes:

What are you planning to brew with those free hops? They are Cascade hops. I am thinking American Amber. Now all I need is time to brew.

I was thinking of something involving wet hopping (if that is actually a thing)...I really want to do a West Coast style IPA but would need more hops. Dunno, hopefully I will brew something this weekend.

Wet hopping is actually using hops fresh from the vine. You could certainly dry hop with the hops you received. Or, use them in the brew. Just make sure you bag them or use a false bottom in your brew kettle.
Maybe the purpose of your life is to serve as a warning to others.
