Need holes drilled in Sanke keg

Post by geauxwillett »

Does anyone know who can drill some holes in converted sanke kegs? I had a helluva doing just the one for my valve. Took an hour or so. Before I go buy eqpt to do this, I wanted to see if anyone could do this.

I was told Wayne Yandell may be able to help me, but not sure how to get a hold of him.

carbide drill bit & cutting oil

slow speed while drilling... lots of oil, constantly..
Beer contains just a small amount of vitamins - that's why it's necessary to drink lot of it

I used the cheap step bits from harbor freight, drilled three holes in two kegs with an 18v cordless ryobi drill. Drilled a starter hole with a normal metal bit then used the thinnest step bit to widen it and then moved to the wider step bit. Always stop and measure the hole, you can only make it bigger.
