2012 Education

Hey everybody, it's the Minister of Education here.

I'll be coordinating the educational activities this year, and I'll be needing some volunteers to take teach a subject at brew days. Below I'll be keeping a tab of current planned activities.
  • January 21 - Bottling from a keg. Beer gun, counter pressure filler, DIY alternatives.
    February 18 - Water filtering (Walter Hodges)
    March - No Brew Day, due to BlueBonnet

    June -
    July -
    August -
    September -
    October -
    November -

The current survey results from the last meetng show that people want to learn about:
  • DIY equipment (22)
    Recipe forumlation (18)
    Yeast harvesting (14)
    Brew rigs (13)
    Yeast starters (12)
    Meads and ciders (12)
    Using special intredients (12)
    Fermentation (11)
If anybody wants to volunteer for any of these, please let me know below or at education AT nthba DOT org.

Education is not limited to these ideas. If you have something you'd like to teach, I'll be happy to schedule it!

Suggestions for the classes based off the survey...
DIY equipment - Counterflow chiller, keggle, water filter, brew stand, kegerator

I have gone through and attended a lot of interesting lists and those really are great to be a part of. From being able to see the brewed options, it would be more enticing to see the lot of topics that are to be covered just like that. Really interesting to see them work and go well in conjunction with how people are going to progress with their interest with the subject.
