2012 Celtic Brew-Off Judging Sat and Sun

Post by bedfordbrewer »

This weekend is the judging portion of the 2012 Celtic Brew-Off. There are 367 beers, meads, and ciders to taste, enjoy, and rank. Entries have come from California, Ohio, Tennessee, Colorado, Canada, as well as Texas and the surrounding region. We are talking about some high quality homebrew.
Low pressure – if you know the kind of beer you like, you can judge. Novice judges are always paired with experienced ones. If you have even slightly considered taking the BJCP exam, there is no better venue for preparing for the course - and you can even bank judging points to be applied to your future BJCP ranking.
Stewards are also needed. They help in prepping flights and keeping track of score sheets – plus they get to try the homebrew also!

Where: The Hospitality Room, Coors Distributing
2550 McMillian Parkway, Ft Worth. (I-35N @ Meachum Blvd)
Same location as the BlueBonnet First Round

When: Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22, 9 AM – 3:30 PM
Registration (free) begins at 9:00
First flights sit down at 9:30
Lunch provided to all judges and stewards

Please make some time to support your fellow/sister homebrewers

Cheers,
The Celtic Brew-Off Committee
