Chest Freezers for Brewing

Post by danwbrews »

I know alot of you have been wanting to purchase a good chest freezer for fermenting or a kezzer but have been disappointed looking at Craigs List for used ones.
I had to replace mine a few months ago and went through the same thing. My suggestion to find one is to go to Department store on-line sites and get their on-line sales E-mails. You will trash a bunch of e-mails but with a little patients you should be able to find a discounted or discontinued model. I found a great deal from Home Depot, probably spent a few bucks more than used, but found a NEW one that serves very well and should last. Check Home Depot, Lowes and Sears (Sears has lots of 24 and 48 hour sales). I found my 13cuft at Home Depot On-Line for $300 and saw a 14cu at Sears this morning for $339. So put back some cash and keep checking.
