OXFORD, England -- Here's something you never thought you would read: the trio that formed the music group Hanson are launching their own beer.

Brothers Isaac, 31, Taylor, 28 and Zac, 26, who shot to the top of the pop charts with their 1997 hit "MmmBop," confirmed at an appearance at The University of Oxford earlier this week that they would launch an India Pale Ale (IPA).

Perhaps the best part is the name of the beer expected to be released in early 2012: "MmmHop."

Despite the cutesy name, Zac Hanson, the band's drummer, said this beer venture is a serious endeavor. "Yes, a branded Hanson IPA beer concept is in the works under the moniker 'MmmHop,'" he toldCBS News. "We're glad to see a bit of buzz around the idea, which has been brewing for some time."

Although Hanson has not repeated the fame of its 1997 hit, the band runs its own independent music label, has released eight studio albums and appeared in the recent Katy Perry "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" music video.

"We, of course, make records -- they are fundamental to what we do -- but we wanted to create a brand so that our fans have a greater experience," Zac Hanson said during the Oxford visit, as reported by AOL Music.com. "It's vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson [does]."

IPAs are known for having a strong taste due to an increased number of hops compared to some other brews.

Beer contains just a small amount of vitamins - that's why it's necessary to drink lot of it
