Celtic Awards - This Saturday

Post by Mike Grover »

Don't forget to come out to the Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games this Saturday. The Knights of the Brown Bottle will have a tent set up (typically at the NW corner of the stadium). They provide samples and discuss homebrewing to those who are interested in the hobby. The Celtic Brew-Off awards are announced at their tent at 13:00. The festival also features highland competitions, Scottish music, crafts, kilts, whiskey tasting, and all things Scottish (i.e. not crap). The event is held at UT-Arlington's Maverick Stadium. More details at www.texasscottishfestival.com.

NTHBA really cleaned up on awards at the Celtic. KOBB should post all of the results soon. Fred David collected all of the awards for our folks that were not present. We will hand them out and recognize our winners at tomorrow's club meeting at Gordon Biersch. I won't spoil all of the fun here, but in addition to a number of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards our club managed to take Best of Show!
