I have used them and have some left. They are very different. They do have a berry component that comes out after some aging. I brewed a batch of mild brown ale with them and it was good but not what I expected. I think the batch I got are 16% aa so you need an accurate gram scale to measure. Wayne.

I was shooting for 30ish but only entered 26. That was not fun to bottle up!

This is the recipe I used for the mead entered in the club only competition. It is unconventional by most measures but it is a very nice sweet mead that is ready in a very short time.
