Lunar Awards and score sheets

Damon Lewis, Anthony and Greta Perea and I just got back from Houston to attend the Lunar Rendezbrew celebration/awards banquet. We picked up all the club's medals and score sheets. They will be passed out at the next club meeting. I suspect score sheets that are not picked up at the club meeting on...

Lunar pickup

If you ordered a tshirt/glass from the Lunar, let me know. A few of us are going down Sat. and will pick up awards. So far Don Trotter has asked us to pick up his shirt and two glasses. Hope they don't ask for a receipt Don. Don't remember if anyone else said they paid for a shirt or glass.

Got the tank but left the syrups as the guy gave me $10 off to leave the syrups. So I got a 20# CO2 tank with some gas for $40. The syrups were Dr. Pepper. I guess I could have figured out how to make and carbonate my own Dr. Pepper but that would just use up a keg for non-beer beverage.

Beverage syrups

I know this may sound rather strange but I was wondering if anyone in the club has a need for beverage syrups in a bag in a box. I am not sure what flavors. They are part of what someone on Craigslist is selling with a 10# CO2 tank. If someone wants them I will donate them. I really only want the ta...

Thanks for sharing Wayne. That's looks pretty easy. It will be worth a try because that was some really good stuff. Yum.

But you didn't share that you fermented in a plastic milk jug. It was fun to listen to the unbelief in Orlando's voice when he related that fact.

I understand they are going to pickup our entries at Homebrew Headquarters. Does anyone know when they are going to pick up? The website says to have entries at the store by COB on Saturday. Also, since they are picking up what is the recommended packing of entries? Should we still put them in some ...

It went well. We really enjoyed your brew. Thanks for sharing it with us. We also had a bottle from the Bluebonnet that some thought was yours too. A very nice beer. They did taste very similar.

Yeah, that is all pretty much as I thought. I just thought I would verify. Majestic has Frankenheimer on their on-line list but none in inventory. If you are willing to part with the homebrew bottle bring it to the brew day and give it to me or Ken. We'll have to make sure it doesn't get shared that...

Alt examples

Does anyone know where a commercial Alt can be purchased locally? I have only been successful in finding Pinkus Alt. I am looking for examples for the BJCP class. If you have a bottle of anything I'll be glad to reimburse you for the cost of one. We'll also take homebrew samples if you have one. Con...

I was there at lunch today. Had a couple of the new Kolsch. From what I understand the tapping is at 6:30 but the party actually starts at 5. We'll try to save some seats.

Beer Fuel at DNC

This story is about a month old but it was new to me today. It raises some questions in my mind. Using beer to fuel cars at the Dem. National Convention. Does Coors do anything special to make "waste beer" or is it just their normal process? Will we someday be brewing to power our vehicles...

What a great brew day with 7 brew rigs going at once. Thanks Brian and Melinda for hosting. And thanks to Tom for cooking the burgers while he was brewing! I don't know that I could multi-task like that.
