Re: Co2 tank refill

I go to Garland Welding supply and swap. It will make your life easier to just let that shinny aluminum tank go :) Though once I swapped an aluminum tank at garland I have always gotten one back. http://www.garlandweldingsupply.com/garland.htm I've never found any near Carrollton that will actually ...

Re: Novenmber Brewday

I would be willing to take 5-10 gal and be involved in doing the actual brewing and anything you need help with. How much I take would depend on demand and the base wort and hops.

Re: Limbo Challenge 2011 Information Topic

I think it might be hard to enforce the 1.050 guideline. I think low gravity saisons are great but the 1.065 could be a problem. If you changed the guidelines I guess that could work but then who is the final judge or if it is out of style or do we just "feel" like it is too big for the co...

Re: Limbo Challenge 2011 Information Topic

I personally say that we pick styles that fit the overall goal of the competition and no worry if they are over 1.050. Just make sure we don't pick styles that go to far out of the spirit of the limbo competition.

Re: Scottish Ale

Well lads, I'm certainly no expert but according to the "Great Jamil", you want to get the cleanest fermenation you can get when doing Scottish ale so he recommends using WLP01, the Chico ale yeast. Additionally, he admonishes folks not to add any smoked or peated malts to the grist and a...
