Re: Brewday at Four Corners Brewing Co.

I'll brew something -- maybe a blonde ale or a kolsch.

Re: Christmas Party

We are glad everyone had a good time. We were especially lucky with the weather this year. As usual there were a few items left behind. A couple of coolers (one has been claimed), a jacket and some miscellaneous serving spoons and dishes. If you left something behind, shoot me an email or message o...

Re: November Brew Day

Brian,

I definitely plan on brewing Saturday. I'll be brewing a 5 gal. all-grain batch of a Robust Porter with some "special" specialty ingredients. Also, can we bring homebrew and/or commercial beers to the brewday?

Thanks,

Graham

I'm in for $35 also. I'll be there and brewing on Saturday. Also, I can help however necessary on the Big Rig.

Jimmy,

My American Amber had a stuck fermentation -- long story short, I can bring a Kolsch instead.

Thanks,

Re: June Brew Day

I can bring a pop-up as well. I'll be helping David with the Big Batch, and possibly brewing an extract or partial mash American Amber.

This new Miller Lite can makes me wonder how the "triple hops" will taste going down at an even faster rate. Dear Lord, help us all.

Re: Best place to grab a Deep Ellum brew?

I am a bit partial to the common table because the tap rotation is awesome and the food is good too. I definitely second Common Table and I know that Angry Dog always has Deep Ellum brews (plus good burgers). I also recommend Meddlesome Moth because they have an extensive bottle beer selection, pre...

Re: NHC Judging Center - Denver

If there are no restrictions as to who can enter (i.e., winner of a COC or experience within the club), then I'd definitely like to enter two or three beers.

Re: Another local brewery plans to open

I met Steve last year at Brew Riot in Oak Cliff, and he seemed like a nice guy (and he was willing to exchange recipes). Also met John Sims at GABF in September 2011 and talked for a long time about local brewing in Dallas and generally about how to start a brewery -- he's a real stand-up guy.

Re: BIG50 Batch #3

I'll definitely chip in for 5 gallons. I didn't think that I would make it to the brew day, but serendipity (in the form of a car accident?), will allow me to make the brew day after all. I can help out however needed, whether it's grain milling, cleanup, unloading or loading the brew system. To Bri...

Re: Plate Chiller

I have also been using a plate chiller for about a year and though I haven’t had any issues with contamination so far (knock on wood), I have had some clogging in the plate chiller itself. I now try to prevent clogging by using hop socks in the boil (even with pellet hops) and a kettle screen in the...
